Has this activity been employed in just that 1 school? Giving children a chance to talk about their speech in their own words is a great way for stutters to build confidence, increase student body acceptance, and decrease the overall stigma attached to stuttering. It’s such a positive activity on so many levels. Not just for addressing topics attached to stuttering, but also for reinforcing language skills and self-esteem/emotional issues. It’s also bound to have positive long-term effects that students will carry with them throughout their lives.
