Hello David Interesting that you have gone back away`s and included DAF effects in your research. In my own family the ratio of males to females with definate DS is 4.1. My daughter is the female. This 4.1 ratio would also extend to the association with many stutterers in therapy, maintenance, and social groups over many years. But I could say, and also other stutterers have noticed a definate difference in a small proportion of males. Infact more so than the difference male to female, stuttering wise to us we are usually the same. I can remember that masking appeared to seperate one of these particular males from us. It was uncanny just like turning of his severe stuttering with a switch. To me the 4.1 ratio is a statistic sure, but with stuttering what you see is sometimes not what you see. (to others listening masking is not the same as DAF)
