I enjoyed reading your article, Dr. Corey, and I appreciate any opportunity to learn more about the gender differences between males and females who stutter. I was curious, is DAF typically measured while the client is producing spontaneous speech, reading from a designated language sample, or both? In addition, were the intervention sessions where DAF was recorded also videotaped by researchers? Could having this visual representation, in addition to the auditory information, possibly help researchers to discover any gender-specific mannerisms, motor movements, or secondary behaviors that could shed more light on gender differences, in regards to stuttering? Thank you for your time and for your continued research in this area.
