Jessica, Thanks so much for your comments. I don't want to dampen your enthusiasm, but please keep in mind that we really are still trying to figure things out here. I don't mean to suggest that we have "the answer" to our questions yet. I'm very hopeful that my work will help us understand sex differences in DS prevalence, but my guesses (we can call them "theories") need lots and lots more tests before we can start to think that we "know" why males are at greater risk for stuttering.
