Sarah & Maria - Wow! Awesome, funny and creative presentation. Maria, what you said at the end about how stuttering has become almost an "asset" in your career, and what Sarah you say at the end about how identifying almost hourly somedays that "I stutter" has helped opened up conversations about others who stutter and how that education and advocacy is so important -- those points really hit home. I wondered what have been your experiences with telling various large audiences that you stutter ("self-disclosure") - I like when Maria you said "you know and I know that you know"... Do you find that you're more fluent or that you stutter in an easier manner after you've disclosed that "I stutter"? Or does self-disclosure set you more at ease and get rid of the so-called "mental gymnastics" that happen in the mind of a public speaker (like 'what is he thinking? does he know I stutter?' etc)? Or is it some of both?
