What a great question!! It has been my experience that a parent with a negative attitude is a significant problem in a treatment program..this negativity frequently carries over into a number of areas...The Fluency Friday Plus program that I run each fall has parent training sessions. I also do a counselling session with my parents,but for some this is not enough. I give parents a lot of material/resources and also call them outside of treatment...but I have learned that I can't fix everything..:)
