I have rarely met a teen/adult who has no emotional/attitudinal component. Most kids have some feelings about their speech..i.e. they know that their parents/teachers are concerned about their talking. I basically work with each individual...if they are in my office, then their is a high probability that some level of attitudinal/emotional reaction is present in some form. That is one reason that I start with the educational component.
