Hi...your question about parent training is great one and yes, a parent's attitude is important to the success of treatment. I counsel the parents at the intial meeting/diagnostic. The parents of my students are encouraged to use the observation window to watch treatment. I also have my student explain the treatment acitivty to the parent following the session. I use handouts and encourage my parents to attend Fluency Friday Plus, an intensive treatment program that I coordinate in Cincinnati. We have a parent training program that is awesome.
