Hi Joy, The actions a person may take may or may not increase their fluency, but the very definitely should decrease the amount of STRUGGLE associated with speech production which in turn should increase the effectiveness of their communication. … I like your observation “…that their diagnosis does not define who they are.” YES! Very good! And very important! ….. That list was developed pretty much by several decades of my personal life and by talking to jillions of other people who stutter. And to be fair, my personal list is very USA-centric and Judy Kuster helped me a great deal with the expansion to include the international equivalents. …. Good comments Joy!
