Hi! Thanks for your comments. I think to answer your question, when something is not right, we tend to shut everyone (and everything) out and hear what we want to hear, selective perception. But you often hear that little voice inside your head asking why things are the way the are. It can be frightening to adjust and consider new thoughts, especially when they clash with what we feel. But I realize when that comment was made, it was 100 percent accurate. The journey of self-acceptance when it comes to stuttering can be long, ardous, and very painful. It will make you cry, challenge you, and even torment you at times. But the truth will set you free. Being a person who stutters can open you up to another world where love is undeniable, and the enthusiasm is contagious-so welcome yourself to it!
