Dear Tom, If I understand Cristobal's theoretical model, then you ARE transfluent. Because you yourself no longer recognize the closet (no fear and avoidance), you have emerged as a person completely at ease with his speech, and therefore 'transfluent'. You now know that there is nothing deviant or disordered about your speech, and have abandoned all secondary behaviors of escape and avoidance. Ironically, one side effect of this level of understanding is that your speech has far fewer disruptions than it used to, which further underscores the adverse impact of your initial diagnosis of a speech disorder. How did I do, Cris? Charley
