My dear friend, I think this revolution has been ignited already. Many stutterers have ignited this revolution. Many stutterers say NO, I have spent too much money in treatment for nothing. Too much hope for nothing. Some spanish therapists deny treat stutterers because ethical reasons. Letīs say the truth: most stutterers hardly improve their fluency. I donīt know if stuttering will ever be demedicalized. I think one day researchers may say: stutterers brain is too "damaged" and so, let them alone. And they will change words: instead of writing "brain damage" -as they do now- they will write brain diversity. Of course, itīs idealistic. But we find in history some cases even much more idealistic than this. For example, fifty years ago, Martin Luther King was murdered and now, we have Obama. Fifty years ago left handed people used to be tied to a chair... A hundred years ago, women could not vote. You say: "If that is the case, why would these educated therapists still be attempting to treat this incurable disorder?" Because they earn A LOT OF money. Lidcome program is too new to know if itīs enough significant and effective. I am just prudent... It seems as many other treatments. At the beginning ALWAYS they seem to be effective, even psychoanalisis. But after a dozen of years, it is always the same: no effective. I am just prudent. Thank you my friend. Cris
