First off, I would like to say that this paper opened my eyes to a different side of stuttering. I was not previously aware that stuttering was classified as a mental disorder. In the paper you said that you didn't feel adults benefited from any type of therapy and would not truly become fluent speakers. Do you hold the same opinion for children and teenagers? If not, what are some differences that would play a role in children/teenagers benefiting from therapy rather than adults. I was also wondering if you would define a benefit in treatment as helping at all with things such as blocks or only if it makes the speaker truly fluent? Thank you for your time. I really enjoyed this paper.
