I agree entirely; acceptance is something that needs to be worked toward regardless of what the "it" is. Stigmatization leads to cruelty. Many other involvements are not visibly apparent either. For example, some people are nonverbal for one reason or another, requiring an alternate communication method. Looking at an individual's communication if it is out of the norm, and destigmatizing that method, is one of the things we need to endeavor toward.
