Thanks you for sharing this amazing experience with us. I am currently an SLP student and would like to do some volunteer work in Africa once I have completed my degree. Your article has given me a great deal of hope and encouragement! I know you had mentioned that emphasis was placed on slow easy talking during therapy, but I was wondering if there were any other techniques you used? Did you do a lot of counseling as well? Congratulations on the progress you have made in such a short amount of time. Thank you!
