I’m very inspired after reading this article about the compassion of you and Mr. Skinner in helping people who stutter. A project like this required many people to come together to make it a success, and I’m sure it is now benefiting thousands of people in Africa. I appreciate how you show some of the possibilities for a speech-language pathologist to go abroad and share his or her knowledge. It’s a dream of mine to combine my educational background with traveling internationally and volunteering. Although the project was to encourage the creation of a self-help movement, I’m curious about where people in Cameroon can go to get services for stuttering (or other speech disorders) by these newly trained professionals. Are these services free or at a low cost to the people?
