Alana, Thanks for reading this paper. People who stutter in Cameroon can have help in our self help groups; we have some ‘local’ SLPs here. All of them work in private practice. Health care in Cameroon is paid for by the patients. So if one goes for consultation even in government hospitals, you must pay for the consultation and the treatment that is prescribed. Very well to persons do subscribe some insurance for ill health. But this is just about 5 percent of the population.. So stuttering therapy here most be paid for by the PWS who go for treatment
