Hi Clara, Thanks for reading that article and also for your questions. May be as you suggested stress due to the other life threatening diseases could be a contributing factor to the high incidence of stuttering in our region. I cannot explain why this incidence is high. What I know is that it is relatively higher here. We are very grateful to the volunteers that have offered their time and resources to help us. Your suggestion about SLPs helping in doing therapy via SKYPE is a good idea. If well exploited could really help. As of now as you may know, internet services are not yet available in many parts of Africa. Those who are computer literate use the cyber cafes and some of them do not have facilities like SKYPE. Some have things like webcam. This your suggestion is a very nice one and is worth considering for future us. Thanks for it.
