Example: 3rd grader who is declining oral reading, declined chance to be in school play, and asks parent to order food. This child needs cognitive therapy to remove fear and also learn behavioral techniques like stuttering modification and shaping. That integrated approach would be the 'combination' to unlock his comfort and fluency. His teacher would help a lot here, too. Perhaps a different 3rd grader just exhibits stutters with no fear and anxiety. His combination is easier: teach shaping and modification. Each pws will have his own combination to unlocking stuttering. A 300 word max made this article a challenge for me (my lock).
