Dave, what a nice thing to say. Thank you. I began my fourth year of retirement from the university in September and can't believe how much I am enjoying working in this school district. I often find myself saying, "I wish my students could see me now, walking down the hall with this kindergarten child holding my finger." This consulting position is really ideal. I work two days a week, sometimes more when I have meetings to attend. The schedule is great and I see families who want to work as I recommend. Most of these children have "failed" in therapy for so long it is great to see them succeed. Keeping the goals simple and teaching them to not be afraid of the stuttering moment are the keys for me and this seems to work for most kids. The parents are glad the children are not taken out of the classroom; so are the children. So, don't check out just yet! Join me in the trenches! Thanks again for your nice note. Best wishes and congratulations on the 60 years of blissful marriage. Nancy and I are on our way at 45 and counting.
