Nayereh, thank you for your comments. Looking at stuttering as a problem that should be solved instead of a disorder that should be treated does put a different slant on the clinical process. Just because people stutter does not necessarily mean they want to work on changing speech patterns. Identifying the underlying problem is the first step in developing an appropriate clinical program. Thanks for your interest and comments.
