As I was reading this article I continued to think about children today and the amount of quality interactions they have with their parents/caregivers. The idea of having a Talk Time Home Assignment could be beneficial for any child who may not have enough time talking with significant adult figures in their life. As you mentioned the recorded reactions of talk time can give a clinician an insight on if the parents will have follow through at home. Are the strategies that the children develop in this intimate setting carried over then to other communication partners? My other one question was regarding your thoughts on problem solving. You noted that children are typically afraid about the teasing they may receive when speaking in front of their friends and that the children only need to come to terms with the teasing. Have you found that children are more comfortable with their fluency once they come to terms with the teasing?
