I understand that "Therapy time" is primarily taking place in the regular education classroom. However, in the initial process of therapy during which the student is learning how to use realxed speech and how to maintain eyecontact, how much time is actually spent with the speech therapist? I read in your paper that the five-minute Talk Times are used during the week with the parents and in the home. Is this how the child who stutters begins to develop these strategies or is this primarily done with the therapist? If so, are these two goals (realxed speech and eye contact) usually easily learned with most time spent practicing in the classroom and at home?
