I like your approach to letting the children and parent choose their goals for stuttering, however I have some questions as to how you would approach a parent/child who did not know enough about stuttering to form their own goals. I understand there is an educating of the parent and child about stuttering, but how do you get the parent to become involved when they are uninterested? Also the child is unable to set realistic goals because they do not understand enough about their speech to know what changes need to be made, so what is the best way to approach this situation after the education process has taken place?
