As an up and coming SLP who hopes to work in the school setting, I thoroughly enjoyed this article. Everyone who asks me what an SLP does always asks me if I will be able to cure someone of stuttering once I finish graduate school. It is tough for me to answer them because there isn't a way to CURE stuttering, but this article helped give me ways to explain that I would help children control their stuttering and their attitudes toward speaking and their speech. I also agreed with the importance the parents play in every area of stuttering at such a young age. Their involvement is crucial to develop positive and accepting attitudes from what is usually seen as "normal". I thank you for sharing your therapy with us; it gives me a better insight how I would tackle the stuttering issue as a school SLP.
