I believe you are quite right about facing a problem as ID'd by child and parents as well as not micro-managing 'how' someone else speaks. (Don't we all hate that when done to us?) One issue is our fast paced world where stuttering, while maybe pervasive in the lives of some/many, takes backstage to soccer, volleyball, etc., and while health physically, may be a way to avoid the stuttering issue. I wonder if you agree there. Also, I understand that there is a new program where parent and child can see& listen to the clinician via the computer reminding them of what the assignment is & how it is to be carried out. I think that visual and auditory help in recalling and doing it right/ or just doing it/ can be a great tool and I am planning to use it.
