I found your approach very engaging. It is cleverly empowering the child with the responsibility of initiating change. However,in your stuttering management protocol you never mentioned any affective objectives. I perceive stuttering very much intertwined with the stutterer's internal perception. Isn't crucial to have the child talk about how he feels about stuttering, both at home and outside the home, in order to desensitize him to stuttering and increase his comfort with stuttering? Does the protocol assume that if a child is maintaining eye contact while stuttering then he has unconsciously addressed any negative emotions without the necessity of externalizing them?
