Dr. Mallard, I am a graduate student at New York University. I love your suggestion of empowering children to make their own management decisions. This must carry over into so many other areas of their lives, as well. I can imagine that most children appreciate this level of respect for their decisions and opinions. I’m just curious how you would approach a child who continues to choose avoidance or decides they do not want treatment for their stuttering? Thank you in advance for your time.
