The secondary features and struggle behaviors associated with stuttering are attempts on the part of the person who stutters to deal with or end stuttering. They are voluntary behaviors. They are eliminated when a person learns to control the act of talking. Thus, there is no need to struggle and avoid as the person becomes desensitized and learns to stutter in a relaxed manner. Thanks for your question and good luck with your studies.
