Sandra, keep in mind that this program is focused on teachng the communication environment how to manage disfluency (normal interruptions in speech) and stuttering. As a result, I do not change the philosophy of management. I use the same problem solving approach except the focus is on educating the parents and helping them know how to respond to their child. Hopefully the "problem" is developmental and will be eliminated with time. Thanks for your good question.
