As you noted in the survey report, parents still get bad advice. The NSA recently published a brochure especially for pediatricians: http://www.westutter.org/whoWeHelp/pediatricians.html By the way, it's never too late to get good speech therapy. I concluded that I was not going to outgrow stuttering when I was 28 (I was a slow learner).
