These surveys provide a lot of good information for future speech-language pathologist. Due to the fact that few SLP’s have proper education on how to work with people who stutter, these surveys give a lot of basic information on what does and what doesn’t work. It prevents SLPs from wasting their time using techniques that don’t work, such as teaching someone who stutters ways to speak so they won’t stutter vs changing their attitude toward speaking and stuttering.
