I was just wondering if it has ever been suggested to a person who stutters, to use some degree of sign language/modified perhaps during phases when severe stuttering occurs in order to take the pressure off? I realize that this could become a crutch/ we don't want to encourage someone not to speak. But, do you think it might be a helpful tool at times?
