I enjoyed reading your article as it inspires hope yet calls for demand. I too believe that more universities should offer more courses and information on stuttering. I also agree that having people advocating for this would help the processes. I like what you said in a previous reply "We also need high profile stutterer's in all sectors to speak out and in front of the audience actually stutter!". I think your ideas would not only create awareness and education amongst people who treat stuttering but would also lessen the stigmatism that people often associate with stuttering. Creating more awareness about stuttering, particularly through education would do just that. I have one question regarding services in schools. I know a lot of universities who advocate their disability services very openly, through admissions counseling, on the university websites and even on campus tours, but have never seen or heard stuttering mentioned. I used to be an admission ambassador for my undergraduate university and can remember informing people where they could go to get services for learning disabilities. Do you think that doing this with stuttering would be help in creating awareness about stuttering services, if a university offers it?
