Dear Jody, thank you for your comments. In the paper, the research findings were presented in a simplified manner. Research has already showed that people can exhibit both responses about a specific skill. I think Carol Dweck’s findings are useful not just to understand why people differently react when facing fluency failures, but also the findings help clinicians to plan a more efficient intervention on this topic.
