Hello Pam! My name is Megan and I am a Speech Pathology Graduate Student at West Virginia University. I really enjoyed reading your paper. You have provided so much practical and valuable information for future Speech-language Pathologists. I do believe that it is crucial for the clinician and client to be comfortable with one another and to have a relationship that is based on trust, acceptance, and honesty. I also think it is very important for the clinician to display competence and confidence in the area of stuttering, and for the clients to express what they wish to gain through therapy. I really like the idea of recording the session and collecting the data later, so the client will have undivided attention. It is nice to learn about therapy strategies from a different perspective. I want to thank you for sharing your story, thoughts and advice! I know that the information you have shared will be very helpful for me, and for many others as well!
