Ha ha, you might find this funny, but I am actually stuttering more than I ever have. Having been covert for 30+ years, I am now freely overtly stuttering. So, its up to you as a clinician to decide if that's an improvement. :) Some would say no, since I am stuttering and blocking often. Some would say that therapy hasn't servedme. But, others would say that I am now free, saying what I want to say, free of fear. . . . . . I say I am probably right where I need to be in my journey. I am living my life as a person who stutters. I am not trying so hard to be perfect. I communicate well, and give presentations daily to different audiences. Sometimes, shame creeps in and I wish I was more fluent in certain situations, but I am ok with having these feelings. It is human.
