Pam, Thank you for sharing all that you have learned in therapy! As a graduate student at the College of Saint Rose, I will be participating in fluency council this upcoming summer. Your paper has provided me with wonderful tips and put me somewhat at ease for this experience. As a beginning clinician, I have never actually worked with a person who stutters. All I have to offer is the knowledge I have gained in the program. It sounds like the clinicians get as much out of fluency council as the individuals who stutter. Your honesty has made me think of this experience in a different light. Do you think that these key points that you have learned in therapy apply for the children in the program as well? What are some tips you can offer to help build a strong relationship between clinician and client? What are some examples of actual activities that you have participated in during therapy that have been most helpful for you? I hope to one day meet you in Dr. Klein’s class this semester or in fluency council! Thank you for sharing and helping me to become a better clinician. Leeanne
