I am a student clinician and I have not had the opportunity to work with the client who stutters. I am learning a lot about it in my classes, but what advice would you be able to give me to help with the first client I get who stutters? You say it is important not to be afraid. I would not say I am afriad of stuttering but I will admit I am nervous because it is something new. Is there anything that you wish your SLPs knew before they started therapy with you?
