Hi Kathy, thanks for the great comments. I remember doing a workshop last year to mark ISAD. There were SLPs and community members in the audience. One SLP commented that she had been in the field for over 20 years and thought there was a cure for stuttering. She said she had felt like she was failing because she couldn't make her client fluent. I think I will always remember that as a signal that pws and professionals must share with each other, to make it less scary, nervous, and less intimidating for everyone.
