Hi Cathy, Thank you for sharing your story, and so kindly. I'm sure that you have been steered heavily toward disclosure and open stuttering, but you are right. You are who you are, and if you chose to do what you are doing, you must go with it. Change comes from within, not from outside, and although we have influences and supports, it is our inner souls that make our ultimate decisions. You are brave to share your story, and as an SLP who works with covert stutterers, trying to get them to see the good in disclosure and open stuttering, you have changed my views. I respect you for that, and all my S'ing friends! It sounds like your covert stuttering has not hampered your successful life!! Thank you.
