Paula, thanks for your question. The support group meetings are for support only and is seperate from speech therapy. Members may practice speech techniques, practice speaking situations with us or can ask other members for advise but it is not a therapy group. Some of our members do see a speech therapist in conjunction with attending these meetings but most do not. It is an individual choice but we find that many benefit the most from attending meetings where they can share stories and thoughts about their stuttering with people who are just like them.
