What an inspirational story. Thank you for sharing, and I commend you for your bravery. The part that really hit me was when you realized how much time you were spending on trying to sound fluent when your family members were ill. This really allowed me to grasp the extent to which stuttering consumed your thoughts and every day interactions. How exhausting! Your story has provided me with insight on the life of a covert person who stutters. This will be very beneficial to me as a speech-language pathologist because it is important to be in tune with each of my client’s feelings in order to provide services that meet individual goals.
