Hello Kristina. I hid my stuttering from my family for a long time. Most of my family members, all but one, are aware that I do and of my involvement with self-help groups. I know they would be accepting of it but after living so long like this, it is hard to stop and I guess I am just not ready to talk about it. I know they will accept me, like they do my other odd stuff LOL The longer I go without telling people, the harder it is to bring up the subject. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone but on the same token, I can understand why one doesn't talk about it!
