As others have so clearly said, I really enjoyed your story. As a PWS and SLP, I've known about covert stuttering for a while - and have wondered at times if I am somewhat this way about my own stuttering. I'm very fluent - so much so, that I 'fool' a lot of people. While I sometimes feel a little insulted when people say I don't stutter (I've struggled my whole life with it - and it ain't easy!), I have a hard time 'letting go.' I know it would be so much easier if I did. Does this make sense?
