Elisa, the friends who I have told are still the same friends to me. The only difference is that now I can share with them the different NSA events I go to and how I know an NSA friend. Before, I would avoid that or make up something but it is nice to be honest about that. We don't talk about my stuttering or emotions, I am not there yet. The times we have, it seems like they were not interested and since it was a non-issue, there wasn't much to say about it. Sure, if I brought it up they would listen but they don't care. At times I would like to talk about it more but I still am a bit embarassed to talk about my feelings or the mechanics with them. It is very nice though to be able to share with them some work I am doing for the NSA and to remind them that I am still involved. But, they too, share with me things that are close to their heart, sometimes their fears, but that's what friends are for!
