Thank you for sharing your story. It’s incomprehensible to me what you must have gone through growing up and into your twenties before you started to accept your stuttering. Being so fearful of even saying or writing the word stutter and all the covert avoidances that you used, (and to some extent still use), and the pain that went with it makes my heart ache! I am so glad that you found the NSA and give you props for getting involved and giving back to the organization that has helped you so much. Being a group moderator with the Yahoo on-line group also sounds like a wonderful outreach to covert PWS such as yourself and in the process of helping others I would think it also serves as therapy for you as well.
