Hello Cathy, That was a great story you shared and it is good to hear that though you still tend to sway towards being covert about your stuttering, you are improving in the way you feel about your stutter. As a child and young adult, did you resort to talking to anyone about your stuttering? Often, when something makes me upset, talking to someone about it makes me feel much better, even if the problem isn't solved. I know in an earlier question you had said that you went to speech therapy as a child but then discontinued, but having someone to at least speak to about your struggles could help, (like a friend, sister or parent), even if it wasn't in a therapy setting. Or did you keep it completely covert until you were 26?
