Cathy, that was an amazing story. I do not stutter, and it really helped me to understand what it must feel like to be a covert stutterer. What I was wondering is, did your parents never know that you stutter? Even as a little girl? Were you that compelled to avoid it even as a young child, and if so, was it that you never wanted to try therapy, didn't realize it was out there, or just didn't think you were severe enough to try it? Thank you!
