Cathy, this was a very insightful paper as I am currently working on my Masters in speech-language pathology. I was very surprised when you stated that for you personally, it was less effort to try to change what you wanted to say than to push through your stutter. To me, changing what you had intended to say sounds like an immense amount of work, so I can only imagine what it must feel like to try to get past a stuttering moment. I was also amazed at all of the strategies you had to hide your stuttering. I am glad to hear that you have such a good support system that is helping you accept your speech!
